It works well for both landscape and documentary photography when approached responsibly: the tea hills give graphic patterns and scale, while estate life, roads, markets, and weather add story. The best frames usually come early in the morning when mist and side light shape the hills.

October to March is generally comfortable and clearer, while monsoon can bring dramatic mist and green intensity. Early morning is best for fog, soft light, and layered hills.
