Wangala, often known as the 100 Drums Festival, is one of the most important festivals of the Garo community in Meghalaya. It is associated with harvest thanksgiving, drumming, dancing, traditional clothing and community gathering. For photographers, Wangala offers rhythm, repetition, group formations, textile details, performance energy and landscape context from the Garo Hills.
