Photography notes
Work early around the river, temple approaches, livestock areas, and temporary settlements. A wide or normal lens is useful for layered environmental scenes, while a short telephoto helps photograph traders, animals, performances, and ritual activity from a respectful distance. Avoid treating people or livestock as visual props. Ask before entering camps or making close portraits. Include transport workers, food sellers, craftspeople, pilgrims, temporary infrastructure, and changing fairground commerce to create a fuller documentary story.
