Photography notes
Use fast lenses and higher ISO for night streets and pandal interiors. A wide-angle lens helps with installations and crowd context, while a short telephoto is useful for rituals and performers from a respectful distance. Avoid blocking queues or worship areas. Ask before photographing intimate rituals, private family pujas, or close portraits. The strongest documentary work often includes preparation, craftspeople, volunteers, security workers, visitors, and the dismantling phase after the celebration.
