Bhagoria Haat Festival is one of the most visually rich tribal festivals of western Madhya Pradesh, especially associated with the Bhil and Bhilala communities of Jhabua, Alirajpur and nearby regions. The festival unfolds through weekly haat markets where people arrive in traditional dress, gather with family and friends, shop, dance, play music and celebrate the season before Holi. For photographers, Bhagoria offers a strong documentary frame: colour, local markets, ornaments, turbans, movement, youth gatherings, music, rural streets and layered crowd scenes. It should be approached with sensitivity, as this is a living community celebration rather than a staged event.
